FAQ'S

Frequent asked questions:

Q: What is raw hair?

A: Raw hair, is hair that has not been altered. Raw hair is completely unprocessed and chemical free. No two bundles are identical when it comes to raw hair as each bundle comes from a single donor. (a different human)  It's never significantly different enough to where the hair will not blend.

Q: Do you offer samples?

A: This option is not available at this time. Should you decide to purchase a bundle for testing, you will receive the same quality hair should you place future orders.

Q: Why are my bundles different?

A: Authentic raw hair will vary in coarseness, luster, color, and texture. Each bundle comes from a different woman, and attached to a weft, for this reason no two bundles will be exactly alike. However, we make a conscious effort to match each set. Also, it's never significantly different enough to where the hair will not blend.

Q: How many bundles do I need?

A: 12"-16" 2 bundles for a full install. 18"-24" 3 bundles for a full install. 26"-30" 4 bundles for a full install.

*Please note that several clients (small heads 20-21.5 circumference) have gotten away with 3 bundles of 26" 28" and 30", our guide is to help and not required to follow.

Q: How long will my hair last?

A: We love raw hair because it doesn't expire but you must keep in mind that no two people care for their hair the same way. There are so many factors to consider; products used, climate, water, how often hair is washed, heating tools, and of course how you individually care for your Grandeur hair. However, considering the best proper care is being done, we have seen our hair last a minimum of 5 years.

Q: What should I do to maintain this hair?

A: Grandeur hair imitates your very own natural hair by looking like it and acting like it: tamed when wet, swells when dry and without any products, very light and fluffy. Treat this hair like your own hair. Moisture and hydration is key to maintain raw hair. Use good quality shampoo and conditioning products. Products that are free of harsh chemicals such as sulphates, alcohols, and parabens. Conditioning your hair is very important to keep it soft and manageable. We recommend deep conditioning your hair bi-weekly, and avoid using oil, hair sprays or any heavy styling products.

Q: Can I color, bleach and use hot tools on the hair?

A: You can treat your Grandeur hair just as you would your own. Because our hair is not chemically processed one of the significant benefits is you can color, cut, curl or straighten it any style you desire. For coloring services, we highly suggest that you seek a licensed professional.

*Please note that our curly hair textures shouldn't be over manipulated/processed as the hair can become damaged.

Q: Will the hair revert back after styling?

A: Yes. All of our curly/wavy hair textures will straighten and revert to their original wave/curl pattern again when wet. It is best to use a wide tooth comb or denman brush and your hands to scrunch.

Q: Which hair is thicker, Cambodian or Indian?

A: Cambodian hair is slightly thicker and coarser than Indian hair but is very lightweight. Indian hair is more fine and also lightweight. However, both will blend with all ethnicities and hair types. Each origin will have its own unique features and will vary in medium to low luster.
